Pets at the Market
We love seeing your furry friends on Saturdays and welcome leashed, well-behaved pets at the Sarasota Farmers Market.
To help keep the Market safe, comfortable, and enjoyable for everyone, all pet owners are expected to follow these Market Manners. Pets that cannot follow these guidelines may be asked to leave the Market.
Use a Short Leash
Dogs must be kept on a short, non-retractable leash at all times.
Keep Your Pet Under Control
Keep your dog by your side and under control at all times while moving through the Market.
Keep Pets Away From Food
Pets must be kept away from produce, plants, prepared foods, displays, and other food products.
Only Bring Social, Well-Behaved Pets
Pets must be comfortable around crowds, children, adults, and other animals. Aggressive, disruptive, or uncontrolled behavior is not permitted.
Plan Ahead
Please give your pet an opportunity to relieve itself before arriving at the Market.
Clean Up After Your Pet
Pet owners are responsible for immediately cleaning up after their animals. Customers who do not clean up after their pets may be asked to leave and not bring the pet back to the Market.
No Excessive Barking
Excessive barking or other disruptive behavior is not permitted.
Be Considerate of Others
Not every visitor is comfortable around animals. Please respect the personal space of other customers and vendors.
Never Leave Pets in Vehicles
Never leave an animal unattended inside a parked vehicle.
Service Animals Are Welcome
Service animals are permitted at the Sarasota Farmers Market in accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
